Allsorts Youth Project
Allsorts Youth Project listens to, supports and connects children & young people (ages 5 - 25) who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or exploring (LGBTQ +) their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
They provide non-judgmental and safer spaces for Sussex-based children and young people who are LGBTQ+ to connect, feel heard, valued and safe. They also challenge exclusion, prejudice and discrimination in all areas of LGBTQ+ children and young people’s lives.
Allsorts supports children & young people to:
- Explore their values, beliefs, ideas and issues
- Enable them to develop their voice, influence and place in society
- To acquire a set of practical or technical skills and competencies
- Enable them to realise their full potential.
Allsorts also has a Parents and Carers service, to offer support to the parents/carers of children who are trans, non-binary or exploring their gender identity, to connect and provide each other with support, community and friendship.
