Southdown Housing Association

Southdown was established in 1972 and is one of the largest not-for-profit specialist providers of care, support and housing services for vulnerable people in Sussex. They support over 8,000 people each year and offer a wide range of innovative services for local communities, including:

- Housing; they are a specialist housing provider and Landlord for over 600 tenants and shared owners across Sussex, providing different types of affordable housing

- Housing Support; they provide housing support services which aim to equip people with the resilience and skills to maintain their tenancy and overcome issues which places them at risk of becoming homeless

- Mental Health Recovery Services; they offer a range of building and community based recovery services across East Sussex and Brighton & Hove, for people who need support to manage their mental health, re-connect with their communities and become involved in the development of mental health services.

- Employment Services; working in partnership with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Health in Mind, DWP and RBLI they support people to achieve their aspirations and gain/retain paid employment

- Learning Disability Services; they provide accommodation, care and support for over 220 adults with learning and physical disabilities and are specialists in providing support for people with complex behavioural, communication and health needs
