Home-Start East Sussex
Home-Start East Sussex supports vulnerable families in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove. They do this by working directly in family homes, running support groups for parents with young children, and delivering in-depth group support and training with individuals in need.
They have been providing support to local families who have experienced domestic abuse since 1996 and started delivering domestic abuse courses in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove in 2016.
If you have experienced domestic abuse or are looking for support for someone that has, Home-Start East Sussex have a free 11-week course which offers a strengths-based approach to the nationally acclaimed Freedom Programme. They provide support, information and a safe space to women who have experience of living with domestic abuse. The course examines the actions, behaviour and beliefs of an abuser and the beliefs and responses of the victim/survivor. It also helps women to identify the early warning signs and the elements of a healthy relationship to help them to keep themselves and their children safe from further abuse in the future.
